a postcard to
a postcard to is the current exhibition in our tiny gallery space. curated by dan whinney, the exhibition has been prompted by the twinning of hackney and scarborough for the 2012 olympic games.
little else seemed to be happening so dan took the initiative to put some of the his artist friends in the london borough in touch with those locally and encouraged them to start sending postcards to each other. the works on display are a result of that creative exchange and explore the character of both places through photography, prints, sculpture and collage by five different artists.
the exhibition has already proved to be one the most popular we’ve hosted. it runs until 14 september
